Our Range

#We know colour

Potted colour, flowering annuals, herbs and vegetable seedlings — grown at Clyde in South East Melbourne since 1989.

Our wholesale plant range covers potted colour, flowering annuals, herbs and vegetable seedlings, grown at Clyde and supplied to the trade only — wholesale plants for retail nurseries, landscapers, councils and event growers across Victoria and interstate. Everything below is grown here. We are a production nursery, not a reseller, which is why we can pick to the grade your shop wants and supply volume when you need it.

Potted Colour

Our biggest line, grown in 100mm, 140mm, 200mm and 205mm. Petunia, marigold, pansy, viola, vinca, alyssum, lobelia, begonia, gazania, cyclamen and primula, with the range moving through the seasons.

100mm is where we move volume. We are one of only a couple of growers in Melbourne who can supply 100mm potted colour in bulk, which is why shire councils and large plantings come to us. Our 205mm stock has gone into the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Australian Open and the Spring Racing Carnival for over twenty years.

F1 Hybrid Seedlings

Our wholesale herb and vegetable seedlings are grown from F1 hybrid seed — the same genetics the commercial growers use. Better vigour, better disease resistance, and stock that holds on the bench longer instead of being marked down.

F1 is not GMO. The two get confused often enough that we have explained the difference in full.

Tomatoes are the line retailers plan their spring around. We grow them to crop reliably in Melbourne conditions and hold condition through the selling window.

How to buy

Plantex is trade only. We do not sell to the public — if you are after plants for your own garden, your local retail nursery or garden centre carries our stock.

Stock availability goes out every Friday afternoon, and the current list is always on our Evergreen Connect availability page. Order off the weekly list for delivery, pick it up from our trade market stands, see it in person on the spec trucks, or talk to us about contract growing if you need volume on a set date.
