Wholesale Nursery Melbourne
Plantex is a wholesale plant nursery growing at Clyde in south-east Melbourne, supplying the trade only across Victoria and interstate. We have been doing it since 1989.
We are one of only a couple of growers in Melbourne who can supply 100mm potted colour in bulk — which is why shire councils and large plantings come to us. Our 205mm stock has gone into the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Australian Open and the Spring Racing Carnival for over twenty years.
The range runs from potted colour and flowering annuals through shrubs and groundcovers to herbs and vegetable seedlings, including F1 hybrid varieties — the same genetics the commercial growers use. See the full wholesale plant range.

We grow what we sell. That sounds obvious, but it is the difference between ordering out of production and buying whatever happens to be on a vehicle. It means we can pick to the grade your shop wants, and supply volume when you need it.
We select F1 hybrid seed across the herb and vegetable range because a plant that crops well and holds on the bench brings the customer back the following season. That is the whole argument, and our customers made it for us before we started saying it. Through spring that means tomato season, and the Melbourne planting calendar sets out what goes in when.
Stock availability goes out every Friday afternoon. Metro deliveries run Tuesday to Thursday, we reach the Bass Coast every Thursday and as far north as Mickleham, and regional customers collect from Clyde or use a plant transporter.
